 +===== Description =====
 +
+A planet famous throughout the galaxy as a potentially lucrative source of income, Doom harbors treasures and mysteries that only the most experienced adventurers can uncover. Orbiting the planet in your spaceship, surveying the cosmic scene, the scanner begins to detect terrestrial objects as they attack you and force you to crash-land and crash-land on a planet that goes by the name of Doomawangera, suggesting that the planet is not inhabited by aliens but by Australian settlers.
 +
+Whoever they are, the fact is that they are not very friendly. Your unenviable task is to repair your ship or prepare to meet your destiny, in Doomawangera.
 +
+So, the objective of the game is to find a series of essential items for the repair of your ship (dilithium crystals, engine unit, navigation unit box, life support system, medical kit and a nuclear reactor) and bring back any treasure that you can find, as you know, precious things like trillium spheres and other strange objects that only exist in the minds of programmers.
 +
+To give the game a sense of urgency, you only have four hundred units of time to return the equipment to the cargo hold of your battered spaceship. During this time, their brain cells will also tire, leaving the crew exhausted.
 +
+Doom's climate, with a wide range of temperatures, is inhospitable, its environment changing from frozen wastelands to steamy jungles in a matter of meters. The creatures that inhabit the planet are less friendly and sometimes difficult to understand. There is also a wide range of terrain: swamp, jungle, desert, mountain range, etc. And you can even travel for short periods in time.
 +
+You have all of this to deal with, plus the task of repairing your ship before it collapses into a heap of useless, twisted metal.
 +
+To survive these, you need to find, among other essentials, a pair of goggles and a helmet. The latter is particularly useful when you're being attacked by swarms of slugs or trying to get through sliding doors that can read your mind.
 +
+Like any adventure holiday, there's the usual range of activities - riding sandworms, catching drops in your fishing net, stepping on metathermites - that arguably beats anything Blackpool has to offer.
 +
+There is no doubt that Countdown to Doom is an addictive adventure. Unfortunately, the commands have to be simple and there is little meaningful interaction with the characters. A worthwhile but hardly avant-garde adventure.
 +
 +**Conclusion**
 +
+The puzzles in the game will be testing you, although the clue sheets provide some relief that, in some cases, are, however, a provocation in themselves.
 +
+Again, the parser does not understand 'Browse', a fact that is more irritating and due to the strange alien landscape and the elements it contains. However, the location and item descriptions are detailed enough to give some clues about progress.
 +
+What ruins Countdown To Doom is the number of instant kills. At first, it seems like a demise lurks around every corner: the only way to notice them is to die and start over. Fortunately, the incentive given to watch the game outweighs the tedium of these numerous deaths.
